Vintage Mother and Kitten Figurines

This is a vintage Japanese ceramic black cat with kitten, mid-20th century, and marked “Japan” underneath.

Maker: Marked Japan

Era: Most likely 1950s–1960s. After WWII, Japan exported large quantities of affordable ceramics to the U.S. and Europe, often marked simply “Japan.”

Size: Approx. 5.5 inches (14 cm) high, 3 inches wide (7.5 cm).

Material:  Glazed ceramic, hand-painted details (green eyes, red ears/nose accents, yellow whiskers).

Condition: Excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. (Please see photos for full details.)
